The Annual Prize Giving of S.Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia (for 2022) was held at the College Main Hall on 03rd February 2023. The event was graced by the Vicar General of the Diocese of Kurunagala, the Rt. Rev’d Keerthisiri Fernando as the Chief Guest and Mrs. Arlene McShane. The proceedings began with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp and the prayer led by Brother Lionel Peiris SSF. The Warden of S.Thomas’ College Rev. Marc Billimoria presented the Warden’s Report for the year 2022. All prizes, class and special prizes for 2022, excluding that of the lower school were awarded.
Mrs. Arlene Mcshane, gave away the sectional class prizes for the year 2022 while Bishop Keerthisiri presented the annual special prizes, the most prestigious prizes to be received by a Thomian. The Victoria Gold Medal for the Best All-Round Student of the School was awarded to the Head Prefect, master J. N. Dela.
The Sub Warden Mr. Asanka Perera proposed the vote of thanks followed by the seconding of the same by the Head Prefect master J. N. Dela.
