The 85th edition of the Sir John Tarbet Athletic Championship was held recently at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapakse Stadium. Maris Stella College won the boy’s championship with St. Benedict’s College emerging as runners up. Walala A. Ratnayake MV clinched the girl’s championship and Sumana Balika Vidyalaya became the runners up. Vishaka Vidyalaya, Colombo won the under 16 girls championship while St. Benedict`s College, Colombo won the boys. Maris Stella College, Negombo won the under 18 boys championship while Rathanayake Vidyalaya won the girls. In the under 20 category these two schools won the championships respectively.
